<p>The famous icon of all things Mario, the Super Mushroom makes its way to Super Smash Flash 2!<br />
When it appears, it starts sliding along the ground. It could easily slide right off the edge of the stage and disappear forever&#8230;</p>
<p><img src="http://ssfdojo.mcleodgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/supermush1.png" alt="" /><br />
<strong>Try to grab it before that happens!</strong></p>
<p>Unlike other items, you don&#8217;t need to grab the Super Mushroom; the moment you touch it, it takes effect on your character.</p>
<p><img src="http://ssfdojo.mcleodgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/supermush2.png" alt="" /><br />
<strong>And what an effect it is!</strong></p>
<p>Like in the Super Mario games from which it comes, the Super Mushroom makes your character grow massively! You&#8217;ll hit harder, be knocked back less, and even speak in a deeper voice!</p>
<p><img src="http://ssfdojo.mcleodgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/supermush3.png" alt="" /><br />
<strong>So satisfying.</strong></p>
<p>Be careful when chasing down this magic mushroom, though; you might be in for a surprise.</p>
<p><img src="http://ssfdojo.mcleodgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/supermush4.png" alt="" /><br />
<strong>The left one is a Super Mushroom. The right one is a Poison Mushroom.</strong></p>
<p>They don&#8217;t look too different on the outside, but the effect of a Poison Mushroom is drastically different.</p>
<p><img src="http://ssfdojo.mcleodgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/supermush5.png" alt="" /><br />
<strong>Help! I&#8217;m tiny!</strong></p>
<p>While under the effect of a Poison Mushroom, your voice sounds high and squeaky. Also, your attacks will do less to your foes, while their attacks will send you flying all over the place. It&#8217;s the polar opposite of a Super Mushroom.</p>
<p><img src="http://ssfdojo.mcleodgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/supermush6.png" alt="" /><br />
<strong>At least the effect&#8217;s only temporary&#8230;</strong></p>
<p>These mushrooms really hearken back to the classic days of Mario&#8217;s high-jumping, Goomba-stomping, princess-saving days. We hope you enjoy.<!--:--></p>

<p>The stage is modeled after various pieces of the original Sky Sanctuary Zone; it&#8217;s a small palace that gently floats in the air.</p>
<p><center><img src="http://ssfdojo.mcleodgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Sanctuary2.png" width="250" height="205" /></center><strong>Angel Island can be seen in the background, tilting back and forth.</strong></p>
<p>Those floating clouds aren&#8217;t just for show, as you can bounce off of them! The top platform also moves up and down slowly&#8230; maybe you can time these two right to pull off a nice attack?</p>
<p><center><img src="http://ssfdojo.mcleodgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Sanctuary3.png" width="250" height="205" /></center><strong>Timing your jumps right is vital on this stage.</strong></p>
<p>Fans of the Sonic series may remember Sky Sanctuary as a stage in which literally everything fell apart, from beginning to end. We tried to recreate this in various spots on the stage:</p>
<p><center><img src="http://ssfdojo.mcleodgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Sanctuary4.png" width="250" height="205" /></center><strong>Those look like normal platforms&#8230;</strong></p>
<p><center><img src="http://ssfdojo.mcleodgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Sanctuary5.png" width="250" height="205" /></center><strong>&#8230;but if you stand too long on them, they&#8217;ll fall and disappear.. along with any unlucky fighters.</strong></p>
<p>This stage has something for everyone.<!--:--></p>

<p>It&#8217;s the pitfall! Fans of <em>Animal Crossing</em> and <em>Super Smash Bros Brawl</em> will surely recognize this item.</p>
<p><img src="http://ssfdojo.mcleodgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/p_2.bmp" alt="" /><br />
<strong>Behold, a sphere!</strong></p>
<p>First appearing in the <em>Animal Crossing</em> games, the pitfall was an item that you could use to pester the villages with. You could throw it, and unlucky souls who would cross it&#8217;s resting place, would become burried in the ground for a while. A very funny item at that. Here in <em>Super Smash Flash 2</em> it does the exact same thing: Pick it up, throw it, and it will embed itself into the ground.</p>
<p><img src="http://ssfdojo.mcleodgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/p_3.bmp" alt="" /><br />
<strong>Where did it go? It&#8217;s gone without a trace!</strong></p>
<p>The pitfall will dissappear, so it&#8217;s hard to remember the spot where it landed. Of course, this makes it all the more fun if you happen to be in bad luck and run across it.</p>
<p><img src="http://ssfdojo.mcleodgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/p_4.bmp" alt="" /><br />
<strong>Eek!</strong></p>
<p>Characters who are trapped can&#8217;t move for a while. You could attack your opponents during this. </p>
<p>But of course, it would be more fun&#8230;.</p>
<p><img src="http://ssfdojo.mcleodgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/p_5.bmp" alt="" /><br />
<strong>Hello? Anyone? .. Help&#8230;</strong></p>
<p>.. to fool around with it. All in all, this is an item that will surely add a healthy dose of fun to each battle.<!--:--></p>

<p><center><img src="http://ssfdojo.mcleodgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/charge1.png" width="250" height="205" /></center><strong>Hraaaagh!!!</strong></p>
<p>If you release it before it&#8217;s fully charged, it will be fairly weak and not too special.</p>
<p><center><img src="http://ssfdojo.mcleodgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/charge2.png" width="250" height="205" /></center><strong>Still useful, though.</strong></p>
<p>But, if you wait until you&#8217;re fully charged?</p>
<p><center><img src="http://ssfdojo.mcleodgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/charge4.png" width="250" height="205" /></center><strong>You&#8217;re not going to live through this!</strong></p>
<p>There are a few things to note about these kinds of attacks:</p>
<p>If you press left or right while charging, you&#8217;ll cancel it into a roll. You&#8217;ll keep any charge you had accumulated, too.</p>
<p><center><img src="http://ssfdojo.mcleodgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/charge15.png" width="250" height="205" /></center><strong>Good to get out of a jam.</strong></p>
<p>Once you&#8217;re fully charged, there will be an indicator present on your character.</p>
<p><center><img src="http://ssfdojo.mcleodgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/charge3.png" width="250" height="205" /></center><strong>In Naruto&#8217;s case, a wave of energy will rise up through him periodically.</strong></p>
<p>And not all characters can cancel their chargable specials. These attacks must be performed immediately at full charge.</p>
<p><center><img src="http://ssfdojo.mcleodgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/charge6.png" width="250" height="205" /></center><strong>Ready? GO!</strong></p>
<p>Try out all of the characters! There are plenty of these types of moves to have fun with.</p>
<p><center><img src="http://ssfdojo.mcleodgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/charge5.png" width="250" height="205" /></center><strong>Charge up and get going!</strong><br />
