The Super Smash Bros. series had three basic battering weapons included in it that weren’t from any specific series.

The simple fan.

The fan doesn’t do much damage, but with its quick hits, it adds up fast! It even flips opponents.

A… lightsaber?

I’m sure many fans thought that when they first saw it. It’s the Beam Sword! It’s pretty strong and has the most range of these items.

IT’S A HOME RUN!

The Home Run bat is very strong when you wind up for a smash attack.

There are other battering items, but these are the three which all others are based on.
