Straight from the Mario series, Koopa Shells appear as items!

The most basic shell is the Green Shell. When thrown or jumped on, it’ll slide across platforms and bounce off walls until it falls off the stage.


This thing packs quite a punch!

The original Super Smash Bros. and its sequal contained the Red Shell as well. They home in on any character in the area, but only stay on the platform they landed on.


When a Red Shell is placed on a small platform, it can be quite a hazard!

The final type only appeared in the Mario Kart series – the Spiked Shell, otherwise known as the Blue Shell.

It's even worse when you think about what happens when Mega Man touches spikes.
Oh no! It’s coming straight at me!

This shell will fly away when thrown, coming back in a short amount of time into the lead player! If you’re in the lead yourself, try to grab it, as it won’t target the thrower.

Each individual Koopa Shell has benefits and drawbacks; use each one wisely to finish off your foes.
