This is the Sky Sanctuary Zone, the setting of one of the later levels in Sonic & Knuckles.

The view is magnificent…

The stage is modeled after various pieces of the original Sky Sanctuary Zone; it’s a small palace that gently floats in the air.

Angel Island can be seen in the background, tilting back and forth.

Those floating clouds aren’t just for show, as you can bounce off of them! The top platform also moves up and down slowly… maybe you can time these two right to pull off a nice attack?

Timing your jumps right is vital on this stage.

Fans of the Sonic series may remember Sky Sanctuary as a stage in which literally everything fell apart, from beginning to end. We tried to recreate this in various spots on the stage:

Those look like normal platforms…

…but if you stand too long on them, they’ll fall and disappear.. along with any unlucky fighters.

This stage has something for everyone.
